Here's the three of us on the plane! Emerates Airlines was first class all the way - we so enjoyed our flight over with first class service - our own tvs with touchscreen that had all sorts of great applications, from Top Ten Music Hits starting in 1952 right up to 2010 and over 100 movies. I watched a couple of great movies - one Tricia had told me about Letters to Juliette and Mother and Child - or maybe Daughter (I think it was called). The flight was 6 hours and 15 minutes long and we were very comfortable the entire time. Once we got off the plane we were quickly processed through baggage pick up and emmigration and I do have to say that our eyes were like saucers in the airport - what a magnificient building that is. Everything is spotless with marble everywhere and gleaming fixtures throughout the airport - very impressive. Out the door to a waiting taxi that sped us along the motorway for about 20 minutes to get to our hotel. The driver was very friendly and we saw the pink Ladies Taxis at the airport (these taxis transport women in a safe manner). Everyone is wearing traditional dress which is very chic - this middle picture on top is one of the flight attendants - they took the headgear off by the way during service! Well, if we were impressed on our arrival it was nothing compared to our welcome and gander around once we arrived at the hotel. What a beautiful place this is. The Customer Service is out of this world - everyone is so friendly and they can't do enough for you. We were quickly checked in.... decided to upgrade to Club which gave us an upgrade in our room, free breakfast and Afternoon Tea from 3pm-6pm in the Club Lounge and Cocktail Hour with free drinks and appies from 6:30pm - 9 pm every night (a good deal for those of us used to All Inclusive). Our room has a balcony with a harbour view and Mary's just 2 doors down, perfeck!
Ive been dying to see letters to juliet!!! .. i'm going to rent it soon.. wonder how it is!... Dubai looks just as amazing as i imagined.. and upgrading sounds like a very smart idea.. nice to have those extra touches like you say when you travel all inclusive you realize what a bonus it really is !.. xox
