Monday, September 27th 2010 - Paris to London

What a fantastic show last night.  We have had a great breakfast and the cab is coming to pick us up at 11:30 from the hotel as our train leaves at 1:00 pm for our travel back to the UK.  Packing and unpacking we have down to a fine art by this time, but it'll be nice to get home and unpack once and for all.  We are looking forward to our time in London, the plays etc., and having the time to end this journey in one of our favourite places - Jolly old London town.  We are sad to be saying 'Goodbye' to Mary, but you know we have had such a fantastic time together, it really has been magic and we are so grateful for our many blessings and this wonderful friendship is truly just that - a blessing:)

Paris to London on the Eurostar at 303 kph (190 mph). Shared the cab with Mary who dropped us off at the Cavendsh Hotel while she continued her journey home. It was a tearful 'goodbye', but we had so much fun together - lots of good memories. We had such a laugh on the Eurostar coming home from Paris, we laughed 'til our sides hurt - what a great holiday. Checked into the Cavendish and our room is lovely... its on the 7th floor with view of the London Eye. We have been lucky with the view from our rooms, Paris - the Eiffel Tower and now London with the London Eye, guess Big Ben would have been better, but what the heck we're thrilled. Ron killed time at the Shakespeare's Head Pub on Carnaby Street, while I got my nails done then off to Sister Act at the London Palladium. Wow! Our first London Theatre Show and it was a great success - we bought the tickets right at the Theatre in the afternoon while wandering around looking for a nail place, so just asked 'Any tickets for tonight's performance?' and got great tickets for 25 pounds in the stalls, right on the aisle it was fantastic.  Great music, dancing and singing - we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Strolled home after the performance - London streets seem to be bustling all the time and the after theatre crowd comprises everything from teenagers to total oldies wearing blue jeans to glittery evening gowns - anything goes. Our room and bed at the Cavendish is as plush as we remember, great night's sleep.
