Monday, August 9th, 2010 - Killmarnock, Scotland

What a crossing on the Ferry…. especially right at the beginning and end (talk about swaying). I think had we done this crossing before, we might not have gone on those two cruises!!  Look at the picture of the coffee and newspapers - how about that sleeve of milk!  Have you ever seen such a thing, cool eh!

However, we are now in Ireland and it’s lovely and green - it’s been raining on and off but the sun continues to shine, so it’s all good.

I did a little shopping and got the girls (granddaughters) some fairies (well you have to when you’re in Ireland after all) and a silly t-shirt for Brody…. love the rain as you have to go inside, either shopping or drinking, either way it’s good for me!

We toured around and went to visit the old Youth Hostel - Moira and Mary, it’s totally changed Ron and I thought we could perhaps stay there now…. except then I remembered about the bunk beds and decided no actually the Premier Inn is probably the best bet for us old married folks. The Hostel is still perched on that beautiful coastline - Ron took some photos, so everyone can see what it’s like.

Further down the road is the smallest church I’ve ever been in…. and you know what a devoted person I am, so that’s really saying something, we’ll include a picture or two. Ireland is lovely and the people are so very friendly…. this is going to be a great couple of weeks.  Stay tuned!
