Wednesday, September 29th 2010 - London, UK

Decided to splurge and ordered room service breakie - what a treat, can't remember the last time I had breakfast in bed!!! Got ready and strolled around London, went on the Thames river cruise, then a cab to our afternoon performance of 'Yes Prime Minister' at the Guilgud Theatre. It was hilarious, although most of the audience were over 80, it was quite good actually Ron and I felt quite young in that crowd, ha, ha. The two main actors were people we know from other tv fame, so it was nice to see them and we thoroughly enjoyed our great seats in the stalls - we were in about row 10, so we could see them sweat!!! We picked up tickets for Legally Blonde at the half price ticket place tonight, so not enough time to go back to our hotel between shows. We walked around a bit talking about the play and then found Paradiso Inferno Italian Restaurant for dinner - some Lasagne, Fetuccine and 1/2 bottle of red - it was fantastic. Legally Blonde started off a little slow, but I think the other shows we've seen have been of a really high standard and although this was was at the Savoy Theatre (a newer, perhaps higher end Theatre) the show itself was good, but not brilliant. But then, I suppose those of you who have seen the movie, know that the plot isn't really all that complex, so the talent displayed would have to be high to warrant a 2 1/2 hour attention span! We were amused to see that the Lecherous Professor was played by our old friend Tristan (Peter Davison) from All Creatures Great and Small fame - a show we used to watch many moons ago. It was great to see him again and he did a good job! Once again, a nightmare trying to get a cab, (there's lots of them in London mind you) but when the Theatre gets out it's impossible to hail one. We walked back to hotel singing in the rain about 20 minutes, and were glad to get into our beautiful room and that nice cosy bed - what a great evening.
